Description

TruFiber© Lessens Constipation and Diarrhea By the Stimulation Of Probiotic Microflora

TruFiber© minimizes intestinal gas and restores natural elimination!

TruFiber© is tasteless, has no grit, and dissolves quickly in water or juice.

TruFiber© soluble fiber is uniquely formulated to promote probiotics to restore regularity quickly.

TruFiber© contains two distinctive sources of soluble, prebiotic fiber: Sunfiber© and Inulin.

One serving or one level scoop (11 cc) of TruFiber© provides slightly more than 14% of the recommended 25-gram Daily Value for fiber. TruFiber© is a tasteless, white powder that mixes quickly and results in a clear liquid with no grit or thickening.

Sunfiber© – or PHGG originates from guar plant seeds and is partially hydrolyzed to enhance solubility and minimize viscosity. It has been clinically proven to improve regularity at levels corresponding to two servings of TruFiber©. Sunfiber© is a registered trademark of Taiyo International, Inc.

Inulin derives from chicory plant roots. It has a lower molecular weight (shorter carbohydrate chains) than PHGG and provides a synergistic prebiotic effect.

Fiberase© Bifidogenic Enzymes

TruFiber© contains fiber-digesting enzymes found in Fiberase©. Fiber-digesting enzymes are not produced in the human body but do occur naturally in plants; they are listed above in Table #1 in addition to their corresponding enzymatic activity per serving. Fiberase© enzymes are called bifidogenic because they improve the prebiotic activity of fiber that exists in fruits, vegetables and whole grains resulting in improved simulation of Bifidobacteria. Fiberase© enzymes are also lactogenic – meaning they stimulate the growth of various Lactobacillus probiotics (Patent Pending).

Probiotic Stimulation

The two prebiotic fiber sources in TruFiber© stimulate both Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus probiotics by directly providing a microbial food source within the intestinal tract. The Fiberase© enzyme complex enhances the prebiotic activity of whole foods in the diet by partially digesting their long-chain fiber residues and providing time-released microbial nutrition. Prebiotic fiber and Fiberase© enzymes work synergistically. For added effectiveness TruFiber© can be taken in tandem with a high potency probiotic such as Theralac.

Note: Certain prebiotics, including the fructooligosaccharides (FOS), are not as selective for probiotics as the Sunfiber© and Inulin used in TruFiber©. Excess gas and bloating can result from non-probiotic bacteria being stimulated by products that contain FOS type prebiotics.

Functional Actions

TruFiber© has been demonstrated to improve a variety of conditions, including the following:

  • Diarrhea and loose stools
  • Poor elimination and constipation
  • Hindered absorption of calcium and magnesium
  • Depleted Bifidobacteria levels in colon
  • Low Lactobacillus CFU inhabiting small intestine
  • Elevated cholesterol and triglycerides

Taking TruFiber© most often results in improved regularity, more uniform stool consistency, and improved intestinal comfort. Additionally, enhanced nutrient absorption can result in enhanced energy and a greater feeling of wellness.

Dosage and Administration

There are three dosage programs recommended for TruFiber©. The Improved Regularity dosage program involves taking two (2) servings daily one in the morning and one in the evening – in 4-8 ounces of water, fruit juice, or milk. Stir well to dissolve (one level scoop = one 3.6 gram serving). For the Probiotic Stimulation dosage program take one (1) serving daily along with a high potency probiotic that supplies at least 10 billion CFU per dose. For the enhanced Nutrient Absorption dosage program and Gastrointestinal Health take a minimum of 3-4 servings per week with your largest meal of the day.

Note: The high dose Improved Regularity program offers all the benefits of the other programs; the Probiotic Stimulation program also provides an improvement in regularity due to improved probiotic activity. The number of TruFiber© servings per day can be changed to accommodate the user’s specific requirements.

TruFiber© For Young Children

Taking TruFiber© is safe for young children. In most cases, a dosage 1 serving each day is adequate depending on the child’s diet. Be sure, however, to check with your doctor before giving any dietary supplement to a child.

Adverse Reactions

HERXHEIMER REACTION

TruFiber© can significantly stimulate probiotic bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, whether they are naturally present or obtained from a supplement. All of the ingredients in TruFiber© are food grade and generally recognized as safe (G.R.A.S.) by the United States FDA. However, when probiotic bacteria are stimulated they may cause a quick elimination of pathogenic microorganisms such as Candida yeast. During this time harmful microorganisms are dying rapidly and releasing their toxic byproducts faster than the body can eliminate them of this is known as the Herxheimer Reaction.

Herxheimer Reaction can result in short term, moderate discomfort that includes gas, bloating, diarrhea, headache, and loose stools. Typically these symptoms last anywhere from several days to a week. If you do experience this reaction, be sure to drink adequate amounts of water, and eat lightly. Consider these symptoms a positive sign that your body is detoxifying. However, if symptoms persist discontinue use and see your physician.

ALLERGIES AND OTHER REACTION INFORMATION

TruFiber© does not contain rye, peanuts, soy, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, casein, yeast, or animal products. It contains two natural fiber sources and the four, vegetable source, digestive enzymes; it contains no added carriers. The enzymes (40 mg per serving contain about 20 mg of protein) are protein-based and may cause an allergic response for those sensitive individuals. If you are sensitive to proteins, be sure to check with your physician before taking TruFiber©. Drug interactions: Taking fiber supplements may cause some prescription medications to have their absorption compromised so if you are on prescription medications be sure to also check with your physician before taking TruFiber©. Do not take TruFiber© if you are pregnant or nursing.
